Frank & the Can I Speaklys mould an intruiging and catchy style of psychedelic pop-punk. Drawing on influences such as The Feelies, Prince, Chrome, David Bowie, the sound is lo-fi, dreamy and at times sludgy. Eloquent, absurd and sexualised lyrics combine with catchy melodies and subtle drum machine patterns to form a contagious, retro-futuristic dance orgasm. Soul of Condemned Ape on the other hand play a stripped back, simplified, driving style of retarded lyrical pop-punk and instrumentals. Charming and energetic drumming provides the foundation over which angular guitar and demented vocals form the melodic texture.
